Roger MacNicol - Managing Director
Roger qualified as an actuary in 1989. He has a degree in economics and statistics from Glasgow University as well as an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.

Roger has worked for major UK employee benefits consultancies and spent several years within a "Big Four" accounting firm. He has worked as a consultant to both trustees and corporates, and as a Scheme Actuary to a wide range of UK schemes. He has also worked as an Independent Trustee. This unusually broad mix of experience means that Roger is well placed to appreciate the bigger picture and to understand the positions of the various parties who have (often conflicting) interests in the running of pension schemes.

Roger has served on and chaired research groups for the Faculty of Actuaries. He wrote several chapters on pensions for "The Encyclopaedia of Actuarial Science."

Roger leads client assignments for ARC typically supported by a small specialist team drawn from his extensive network of professional actuarial and pensions consultants. This structure allows ARC to build bespoke teams to match the exact needs of the client and the assignment.
